Two Days - Two Adventures

Go Latvia!! Abby this picture is for you - Grandpa hanging out with some of his Latvian friends on Robson Street.

There are quite a few buildings downtown that are wrapped for the Olympics - but this one is the most patriotic.

Here's a great view of the Olympic Village from the other side of False Creek Can you see the Australian Boxing Kangaroo?

Molson Canadian Hockey House is the exclusive enclave for athletes. We lesser mortals aren't allowed inside, but we can pose for pictures

There are a number of pavillions close to BC Place. Here's Bri lining up to get into the Quebec pavilion (which wasn't worth the wait!!)

On Friday Brian flew to Victoria on the float plane and got some spectacular pictues. This one shows the freighters anchored in English Bay and the entrance to Burrard Inlet.

Gulf Islands

The Olympic rings floating in Burrard Inlet beside Stanley Park with Cypress Mountain in the background.

One advantage to flying on Harbour Air is that the terminal is right beside the Olympic flame and at 7:00 a.m. you can get close enough to take a picture.
