Heron Hill at Olivia Beach

Welcome to Heron Hill at Olivia Beach in Lincoln City, Oregon. After hours of scouring the internet - looking for somewhere affordable on the Oregon coast where we could spend a couple of days, we finally found the Olivia Beach community. Heron Hill is the name of the cottage we rented and it was fantastic. It had a fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, dining room and three bedrooms - each with their own bathroom. The cottage also came with two bikes so that we could explore the community.

The community of Olivia Beach was advertised as a "traditional seaside community" and the cottages were designed with weathered clapboard exteriors, wide porches and picket fences. Here's a picture of the path leading to the park which was in the center of the community.

The beach was just a two-minute walk away and every morning we went down to the beach to enjoy the wind and the waves.

The cottage was at the top of the cliff and the beach access was via these stairs. On our way to the top we would stop at each landing to enjoy the view!

When we camped on the Oregon coast a few years ago, we enjoyed a really memorable bowl of clam chowder at Mo's in Newport. We were thrilled to discover that there was a Mo's in Lincoln City too - and the clam chowder is still fantastic!
